WARM AUGUST LIGHT

Warm, sunny weather without exhausting heat invites slow, peaceful photography—images that feel as if August itself has been preserved within them. This is a month I always want to hold on to, no matter what form it takes, because it is in August that we intuitively begin to sense the approach of early autumn.

It has been quite a long time since I last photographed simply for myself. Usually, I shoot for projects, events, or at people’s requests during important moments of their lives. Yet I had long wanted to capture August as I personally perceive it. For that, I felt I needed the right person—someone who could naturally carry my mood within the frame.

This time, everything came together perfectly. In front of my lens is Vika—an incredible person who managed to reflect the entire essence of August without any visible effort.

As a photographer, I simply asked her to follow my guidance, mostly related to the location. Vika remained entirely herself, while I envisioned the final result and captured it in moments through the click of the shutter. And it worked.

An easy, flowing shoot, a beautiful August, and Vika in the frame—all of it became reflections of one another.

More photographs can be seen below, and even more in the gallery. I did not carefully curate them, and some may appear similar, but I believe they are worth seeing as a whole.

Thank you, Vika, for a beautiful August.
