IN THE SUNLIGHT

Her name is Jane—yes, she is my namesake—and she works as a barista. This girl knows everything about coffee, knows how to prepare it beautifully, and gladly shares fascinating stories connected with this fragrant drink.

But that is not the most important thing. Jane is an incredibly bright and kind person. She is open and friendly, intelligent and warm, and it is always a pleasure to be near her. We can talk for hours.

Perhaps it is because we share the same name, or because our characters and views on life are so similar, or simply because every time we meet, the sun shines on us and the clouds seem to wink. Every meeting between us is something special, filled with interesting moments. And these are not just words.

We can speak endlessly, and we can remain silent for a long time, listening to the rustling leaves. Even in silence, when we are together, friendship and light, stories and the joy of connection do not disappear. There is so much light and joy in Jane. And also a vast ocean of calm and peace.

I love capturing warm days, I value my friends, and I treasure moments of joy that always remain in memory. We can return to those memories again and again, recalling the funny situations that happened behind the scenes, yet were filled with happiness all the same.

For me, the meaning of a moment is in the frame, and the meaning of the frame is in the moment.

A wise man was once asked, “How many kinds of friendship are there?”

“Four,” he replied.

“Some friends are like food,” he said. “You need them every day.”

“There are friends who are like medicine,” he continued. “You look for them when you feel unwell.”

“There are friends who are like illness,” he said. “They look for you themselves.”

“And there are friends who are like air,” he said. “You cannot see them, but they are always with you.”
